This art tutorial will show you how to draw a bird flying. It doesn’t matter if it is a seagull or similar flying bird, the basic shapes are the same. To start to draw a bird flying we need to begin with a couple of circular shapes and a few triangles. To draw the initial shapes I use a 4B pencil and once this is done I use a piece of Lyra Graphitkreide graphite to create interesting lines and tone on the bird. Graphite is used because it is an easy material to create tone with. This video uses a step by step techniques so everything is very easy to follow. This video is aimed at teachers in primary schools, children and those who are starting out on the adventure of drawing.
